AI Setups vs Viktor: set up for you, or set up yourself

Viktor calls itself an AI employee that lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams, connects to thousands of tools and does the work. You add it to your workspace and set it up yourself.[1] AI Setups sets up ready-made agents for SMEs with 2 to 100 staff, adapts them to the business and shows the team how to use them, for a fixed price per agent.

In short

What Viktor is, and where it shines

Viktor is a self-serve AI coworker. You add it to Slack or Microsoft Teams, connect your tools and ask it for work in chat: live metrics, investor updates, ad spend analysis, bug triage, board packs, invoice processing and more. It has its own cloud computer, runs recurring workflows and can build small apps.[1]

Where it shines is breadth. Viktor lists more than 9,800 integrations, lets you pick the AI model per task, and works across Slack, Teams, a web app, Discord and desktop apps. You can start for free with up to $100 in credits, without a credit card or a sales call. Viktor says it is used by more than 76,000 teams.[1][2][3]

What AI Setups is

AI Setups sets up ready-made AI agents for SMEs with 2 to 100 staff. We start with the Operations Agent, which answers questions about the business, writes reports and drafts routine work, and the Lead Gen Agent, which finds new B2B leads and writes personal emails every day.

We connect your systems, adapt the agent to how your business works and show your team how to use it. The agent works in Slack, WhatsApp and email, does the routine work and asks a person to approve before anything goes out. It costs €500 a month per agent, with a 3-month minimum and no setup fee.

Key differences

Who does the setup

Viktor is built to set itself up: you connect your tools and tell it what you need, and Viktor's own academy is titled "Get Viktor working in a day". Two customer stories on its site mention two weeks and 75 days to get going.[2]

With AI Setups we do the setup. We connect the systems, adapt the agent to how the business works and show the team how to use it.

How you pay

Viktor bills in credits that the whole workspace shares. A quick Slack question uses about 50 to 100 credits and a full project about 2,000 to 5,000, so 40,000 credits cover roughly 80 to 400 tasks, per Viktor's own examples. Unused credits roll over for one month.[3]

AI Setups charges a fixed €500 a month per agent, with a 3-month minimum and no setup fee, so the bill does not change with how much the team asks.

Where it works

Viktor lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams and also has a web app, Discord and desktop apps. Email is something it can send on your behalf; WhatsApp is not mentioned.[1][2]

AI Setups agents work in Slack, WhatsApp and email.

Control and approval

Both ask before acting on the things that matter. Viktor requires approval in Slack for sensitive actions such as sending email, pushing code, changing campaigns or charging cards, and admins choose which action types need approval.[4]

AI Setups agents do the routine work and ask a person to approve before anything goes out.

Data and hosting

Viktor is hosted on AWS in the US. EU data residency is available on Enterprise contracts. It does not train on customer data, is SOC 2 Type 1 certified and has Type 2 and ISO 27001 in progress.[4]

At AI Setups, hosting and data are agreed per customer.

Pricing side by side

Example: a company with 10 staff

A 10-person company that uses Viktor's most popular tier pays $100 a month for 40,000 credits, which Viktor puts at roughly 80 to 400 tasks. Heavier use moves it up the credit ladder (about $2.50 per 1,000 credits).[3]

The same company with one AI Setups agent pays €500 a month, whatever the number of tasks. With two agents, €1,000 a month. Prices excl. VAT.

When Viktor is the better choice

  • You want to start today, for free, without a sales call.[3]
  • You work in Microsoft Teams or Discord, or want a web or desktop app.[1][2]
  • Someone on your team enjoys connecting tools and shaping the agent themselves.
  • Your work spans many tools, including code and small internal apps.[1]
  • Your usage is light, so $50 to $100 a month of credits costs less than a fixed fee.[3]

When AI Setups is the better choice

  • You want the agent set up and adapted for you, not to build it yourself.
  • You want a fixed monthly price instead of credits.
  • You want the agent in WhatsApp as well as Slack and email.
  • You want a Dutch or Swedish team to talk to, in your time zone.

Switching, or using both

You do not have to choose one for everything. Some teams use a self-serve coworker for quick questions across many tools and a set-up agent for one process that has to run the same way every day, such as the weekly report or lead follow-up.

If you move from Viktor to AI Setups, start with the one process you rely on most. We set that agent up first; you keep your own tools and accounts.

Where we run this ourselves

We run the same agents in our own companies. The Operations Agent runs every day at Remodius, the ecommerce brand Jim runs, and the Lead Gen Agent runs our own outreach on Rasmus's tools ListFixer, MailSpot and Leadster.

On 31 Oct 2026 Viktor's pricing page showed a free start with up to $100 in credits, then paid tiers from $50 a month for 20,000 credits, with $100 for 40,000 credits as the most popular. Enterprise is custom.

Yes. A self-serve coworker can handle quick questions across many tools, while an AI Setups agent runs one process that has to work the same way every day.

Today our agents work in Slack, WhatsApp and email. Viktor supports Microsoft Teams.
